At Weiss Pediatric Care, our goal is keep your children out of urgent cares and the emergency room whenever possible. Today, more than ever, we want to make sure that you call us first when your kids are sick. We want to be your first point of contact.
Let us answer your questions by phone, and decide together with you, whether we can manage the symptoms at home or whether it makes sense to come in to see us.
When it makes sense to be seen for a sick visit, we have taken precautionary measures to limit exposure and to ensure that our office is as safe and hygienic as possible.
- When scheduling your appointment, we may advise that you call us from your car upon arrival and wait there until we let you know your room is ready. This will likely be the case if your child has a cough and a fever.
- Please leave siblings and other family members at home, whenever possible. We’re especially concerned about the elderly (grandparents) and those who are ill or have chronic health conditions.
- If you’re sick, please stay home and have a healthy family member bring your child for the visit instead.
As a reminder, we have suspended Walk-In-Visits for now. We’re encouraging all patients to come in for regularly scheduled well visits, and we’ll see your child same day sick whenever needed. Just call before coming so we can plan for your arrival and get you directly into a room.
