At Weiss Pediatric Care, one of our goals is to provide care that is responsive to the latest scientific evidence, recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and current issues.

The AAP and CDC recommend children receive booster vaccinations between 4-6 years of age. Due to the growing number of cases of pertussis and measles across the country, we will now be administering these immunizations at the 4 year well visit, rather than at age 5, to protect our children as early as possible.

Weiss Pediatric Care’s Immunization Schedule is available on our website, along with information from the Center for Disease Control about each one of the vaccines.  We also provide this information to you at every well visit.

Another great source of information about how to protect your child against the recent measles outbreak is a recent interview with Dr. Tanya Altmann, Pediatrician, Clinical Professor at UCLA and Spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics.
