November is Prematurity Awareness Month.  Weiss Pediatric Care is joining the Healthy Start Coalition of Sarasota County  (Healthy Start Coalition) to focus our community’s attention on the serious problem of babies being born too soon.

While we recognize that if there are problems with the pregnancy or the baby’s health, you may not have a choice about when to have your baby and may need to deliver early. But if you have a choice and you are planning to schedule your baby’s birth, wait until at least 39 week.  As the Florida March of Dimes campaign reminds us – Healthy babies are worth the wait!
